QC Analyst - 6 month contract role, for rapidly expanding chemicals company based in North East England.  

Job Opportunity – QC Analyst 

Company: Multinational speciality chemicals manufacturer, which has seen rapid growth over the last 2 years due to massive investment in manufacturing and testing facilities.

Hours of work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility, if required)

Location:  Teesside

NB - own transport is required due to remote location.

Duration: 6 month contract

Salary: £24- 29k (dependant on your skills and experience) per annum.

You  will be involved in:

• Testing of raw materials, in-process and final products to ensure that they are manufactured correctly.
• Use of analytical systems such as HPLC and GC along with bench chemistry techniques.
• Advise the plant of any OOT/OOS results to ensure batches are being made correctly 
• Write reports on the analysis carried out for CofAs.
• Ensure that the testing done is carried out to the required standard (GMP, GLP, MHRA etc).

What do you need to be considered?

You will need:

• Degree or equivalent experience in science-based subject, ideally Chemistry.
• Working knowledge of HPLC or GC instrumentation.
• Experience of analysing organic compounds such as fine chemicals, petrochemicals, or APIs.
• Knowledge of working in a regulated laboratory and standards such as UKAS, GMP, GLP, MHRA, FDA etc.
