Background of SRUK

All through my childhood I  had a passion for STEM. One of my favourite TV programs was Tomorrow's World (see below).  With this as inspiration, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the Science industry!  

And so I  studied Chemistry at UMIST (now Manchester University) and attained a Desmond (2:2) and felt that I was better placed outside of the Laboratory!  So, I decided to pursue a career in Science Recruitment (probably the only person who has wanted to be in recruitment).  After a tough start trying to establish myself in the industry, I managed to get a foothold (working 60 hours, over 7 days a week) and things went from there.

Skip forward 17 years and  here I am starting my next new adventure; my own business.   Still passionate about Science, now more so than ever, I want to help Scientists and companies find the right fit for them, hence the reason for SRUK's main purpose:

"Helping to shape the future of Science"
